One of my favvvooorrite pictures from today's shoot.

I lovedddd today's weather. It was gloomy- perfect photoshoot day. I honestly think pictures come out the best in gloomy weather.. or that "magic" hour. Anywhoz.. here's today's OOTD. As you guys know, I've been OBSESSING over my new pair of booties. I've worn these shoes EVERY SINGLE DAY this week.. talk about obsession. Since it was a bit chillier than usual, I decided to layer up with my polka-dot chambray and my jean jacket. I'm starting to incorporate more "spring-ish" type of clothing into my wardrobe, since it is almost spring.

Ohhhh my. I've been waiting for the DVD to come out for such a long time! I'm a huge fan of the Twilight Saga, and I was supperrrr excited that the DVD was coming out today. We rushed to the nearest Target and snagged a copy of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2. Team Edward!

Afterwards, the boyfriend and I decided to go to Del Amo Mall to eat some Stacked. If you guys don't know what Stacked is, it's a restaurant (like BJ's), where they specialize in customizing your order to the way you want it. But the cool thing about it is that you order everything though an iPad that's placed at every table. It's super easy, convenient, and a good way to know what you're ordering. So I had a salad, and Jay had a custom-made Mac & Cheese. It was delishhh!

We just roamed around the mall for a bit, and Jay just took some OOTD pics for my Instagram, but I thought I'd share it on my blog as well (:

Layers are seriously my BFF. They save me from the cold weather, AND they're an awesome fashion statement. I love wearing layers because it gives me a chance to mix and match patterns, and just to explore new variations of knits, cardigans, or anything I have in my closet. It's kind of like mixing a new cocktail. You mix good stuff together, hoping that you come up with the yummiest drink. Same thing goes for layering. You can explore and experiment with different patterns and textures you like with other patterns and textures. As you guys know, Spring is justttt around the corner, and I guess today's outfit is kind of like a transition piece.. (or possibly I'm already prepping for the Spring) 

So go into your closet and explore all the amazing pieces you have! You don't know what amazing outfit you're gonna come up with just by exploring with different patterned pieces! Layering can help you amp up any outfit, and it can bring personality and style to your wardrobe! So maybe next time, instead of wearing a huge thick sweater (trust me- I have my days too), try mixing flannels or shirts, or even jackets together to make a great combination! Be creative & unique!
